Blood and Bone OUT NOW

"Put quite simply, Blood & Bone is both the sound of a broken heart laid bare and the sonic summation of a journey toward its reconstruction. It's an album informed by the gravitas of naked truth, finding vocalist Joanna Wallfisch creating and delivering a singular blend of poise, pain, and passion with startling clarity...(her band) provide a rasied platform to stand on... all join in solidarity with Wallfisch to help produce musical beauty of a many-colored sort that speaks to straight to the human condition."

The Great Song Cycle - Portland to LA, 1,154 Miles, by bicycle.

In August 2016 Joanna embarked on a solo album release tour down the west coast of America, by bicycle. Little did she know this journey would change her life. Carrying her instruments, camping gear and everything else she needed, with only the power of her body and mind to get her from A to B, she performed 16 solo shows and has now turned this experience into a full length show.

Gardens In My Mind at The 2016 London Jazz Festival

Her ‘most adventurous’ record to date. She has written full arrangements for string quartet and piano, resulting from a special commission by the Salisbury Festival to collaborate with the award winning Sacconi Quartet. It is these unusual, highly expressive arrangements, coupled with their sensitive and virtuosic execution by pianist Dan Tepfer and the Sacconis, which elevate the songs to a new level, making this a truly transporting record that warrants multiple listens.
